Gino Hernandez started his martial arts journey in 2014 at 11 years old because his father wanted him to be able to defend himself when he got up to high school. From his first class he knew he wanted to be a black belt and with the training of Mr. Heimberger, Mr. Teagarden, and Mr. Ruiz, he did just that. He was hired part-time as an assistant instructor at the age of 17 when he was a first-degree brown belt and shortly after obtained the rank of black belt.
